How treatment works

  • We’ll start with a quick phone call to make sure it’s a good fit. If we decide to work together, we’ll start with a 60 minute intake session during which we’ll discuss your sleep problems, your background, and scheduling.

  • Each session focuses on science-backed strategies for improving your sleep quality. We’ll work together to identify patterns in your sleep to help tailor cognitive and behavioral strategies to your needs. The goal is making sleep less stressful and helping you learn how to respond to things that get in the way of sleep.

  • CBT for insomnia consists of weekly, 30 minute therapy sessions. Most patients, even those with lifelong insomnia, see meaningful improvements in 4-8 sessions.
